2025 Golf Fun Day Recap
Driving Impact: Golf Fun Day Raises Money for Families in Need

On Monday, September 22, 2025, Fred’s Footsteps hosted our 21st Annual Golf Fun Day, and what a day it was! Perfect weather, beautiful courses at both Philadelphia Country Club and Gulph Mills Golf Club, and – most importantly – our incredible community of supporters all came together for an unforgettable event.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised $395,000 (and counting!) to support families caring for critically ill, injured, or disabled children. Every swing, every bid, and every show of support helps us continue to provide critical financial relief and compassionate assistance when families need it most.

👉 The fun isn’t over yet! Our online auction remains open until Friday, September 26th at 5:00 PM. Don’t miss your chance to browse, bid, and buy in support of our mission: https://e.givesmart.com/events/Jhq/

Special Guests and Memorable Moments

The day was filled with special highlights both on and off the course.

Guests enjoyed the CapTech PinPoint Challenge™, a cutting-edge closest-to-the-pin contest with digital precision tracking. While there were plenty of close calls, the coveted hole-in-one prize – a two-year INEOS Grenadier lease – went unclaimed this year.

We were also thrilled to welcome longtime supporters Coach Dick Vermeil and Brent Celek, who joined us for the evening program. Our emcee, broadcast professional and Lemon Rose golf apparel founder, Jillian Mele, brought energy and warmth to the stage as we celebrated our mission, shared stories of resilience, and launched exciting new initiatives for the future.

The highlight of the evening was our special guests, the Parks-Pszenny Family. Together, we watched their “Homecoming” story, revisiting a journey that began more than ten years ago when Kyle was hit by a drunk driver while skateboarding. His remarkable recovery and strength are nothing short of inspiring. He and his family’s courage and love embody what it means to stay together, fight with resilience, and never give up. The room rose to their feet in applause, celebrating the Parks-Pszenny family and honoring their extraordinary journey. Kyle credited Fred’s Footsteps with being “the glue” that kept his family together during this time in their lives. And Brent Celek recognized Kyle’s attitude as “infectious” and commended him for his grit and determination.
