Fred’s Footsteps ESSENTIAL HEROES CAMPAIGN
The Essential Hero Campaign will enable YOU to celebrate the Essential Heroes in your life while raising funds for families through Fred’s Footsteps COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. An Essential Hero is anyone who has been working on the front lines to help keep you, your family, and your community safe and healthy during this uncertain time. We encourage you to nominate ANYONE in your life who you would like to recognize for their bravery and sacrifice during this unprecedented time.
HOW IT WORKS?
For every $10 donated, you can nominate an Essential Hero in your life you would like entered into a raffle for the chance to win a $300 AMEX GIFT CARD. Whether or not your Hero is ultimately selected, all nominated Heroes will be celebrated in a Fred’s Footsteps communication and across all social media channels. All proceeds will be donated to families in the Philadelphia area who are in desperate need of life’s most essential items. Together, we will help Fred’s Feed Families!
Donate, nominate YOUR HERO(ES) in the provided space on the donation form, then spread the word on social media by tagging @FredsFootsteps and use #FredsFeedsFamilies.
COVID-19 Relief Fund Mission:
Parents who work in disproportionately impacted trades, such as retail, home healthcare, factory work, and food service, especially those without PTO or sick days are being especially impacted by COVID-19. For those with a seriously ill, injured, or disabled child, this crisis is devastating. The Fred’s Footsteps COVID-19 fund has been established to help these families with their most immediate needs by providing short term assistance for groceries and household items.
In addition to the fund, families and social workers are encouraged to visit our resource guide to find other local resources to help them during this difficult time.

- THE HEROES CAMPAIGN:
These official rules (the “Official Rules”) shall govern the Heroes Campaign. The Heroes Campaign begins 5/18/20 at 10:00 AM ET and ends on 6/23/20 at 12:00 pm ET. The Heroes Campaign is sponsored by Fred’s Footsteps (The G. Fred DiBona Jr. Memorial Foundation) and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising/promotional agencies involved with this promotion are collectively referred to as the “Heroes Campaign Entities”.
- TO ENTER:
By entering the Heroes Campaign, the entrant agrees to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. The Heroes Campaign Entities are not responsible for late, incomplete, void, corrupted, misdirected, or otherwise erroneous entries (including reproduced or photocopied entries) or for any problems, malfunctions or technical difficulties that arise in the entry process. Any incomplete or incorrect entries will be void. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by the Heroes Campaign Entities. Once submitted, all entries shall be the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. All entries submitted in compliance with these Official Rules and not disqualified are considered “eligible entries.” You may enter in the following way:

Nominate: For every $10 donation, donor will get to nominate ONE Essential Hero to the Essential Heroes Campaign. You will have the opportunity to nominate your Essential Hero on the donation page of https://freds-footsteps-essential-heroes.causevox.com/.
- DRAWING
At the end of the Essential Heroes Campaign Period, one (1) prize winner will be selected at random by the Heroes Campaign Entities from among all eligible entries received by the entry deadline. Winner will be notified via e-mail at the account name used to submit or identified in his/her entry. Winner will be required to respond (as directed) to this notification message within twenty-four (24) hours of attempted notification. An alternate winner(s) may be randomly selected by the Heroes Campaign Entities from among remaining eligible entries if the selected winner(s): (i) fails to respond timely to the notification or cannot be reached; (ii) fails to execute the release required by these Official Rules; (iii) does not comply with any other rule or condition of the Heroes Campaign; or (iv) cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason. The decisions of the Heroes Campaign Entities, including the selection of the winners, are final and binding on all matters relating to this Campaign.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Essential Heroes Campaign Period.
- PRIZES:
At approximately 1:00 PM Eastern Time on June 23, 2020:
One (1) potential winner will be chosen in a random drawing, from among all eligible entries received during the Essential Heroes Campaign Period, to receive a $300 AMEX GIFT CARD. Prize will be mailed to the winner.
A prize may not be substituted, transferred or redeemed for cash by a winner. Exact prize details will be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
- ELIGIBILITY:
The Essential Heroes Campaign is open to: (i) U.S. citizens or lawful permanent U.S. residents.
- RELEASE
By entering, entrant agrees to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify the Essential Heroes Entities and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action in contract, warranty, or tort, with respect to or arising out of any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize awarded in the Essential Heroes Campaign, including but not limited to any claims arising out of or relating to your violation of these Essential Heroes Campaign Rules or your misuse of any means of entry. (Note for NJ residents: The foregoing sentence applies to torts where the level of culpability is negligence; all other conditions apply). The Essential Heroes Entities shall not be liable to winner or any person claiming through winner for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal) labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, game cancellation, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond the sole control of any of the Essential Heroes Campaign Entities.
Essential Heroes Campaign Entities are not responsible for any printing or typographical errors in these Official Rules or any other materials associated with the Essential Heroes Campaign. Winners enter at their own risk and Essential Heroes Campaign Entities are not responsible for and shall not be liable for any condition caused by events beyond their control that may cause the Essential Heroes Campaign to be disrupted.
Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Essential Heroes Campaign Entities to use the winner’s name, photograph or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion of the event or otherwise without further compensation.
- GENERAL:
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, change, cancel or suspend the Essential Heroes Campaign (or any portion of the Essential Heroes Campaign) at any time and for any reason and randomly award the prizes from among eligible entries received at the time of such action, should a virus, bugs, malicious tampering or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration of proper execution of the Essential Heroes Campaign (as determined in the Sponsor’s sole discretion).
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found or suspected to be: 1) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Essential Heroes Campaign, or 2) acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by an entrant to undermine the legitimate operation of the Essential Heroes Campaign may be in violation of criminal and civil laws, and the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Sponsor reserves the right to amend or change the Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion. Amendments will be posted on the Sponsor’s website. By entering the Essential Heroes Campaign, the entrant consents to be bound by any and all amendments that may be made.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
In no event will the Essential Heroes Campaign Entities and their respective affiliates or their licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers or directors be liable for damages in contract, warranty, or tort, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, the methods of entry outlined herein, any websites linked to it, any content on the website or such other websites or any services or items obtained through the website or such other websites. This disclaimer includes any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business or anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of goodwill or loss of data, whether caused by tort, breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.
Winner(s) are responsible for any tax consequences of accepting a prize.
- CHOICE OF LAW
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of contestants and Essential Heroes Campaign Entities in connection with the Essential Heroes Campaign, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to Pennsylvania choice of law rules. All proceedings shall take place in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
