Over $300K Raised to Support Families with Medically Fragile Children
Fred’s Footsteps, a nonprofit organization providing financial support to families caring for a seriously ill, injured, or disabled child, celebrated its Eagles Care Partnership at its annual Party in the Yard benefit Saturday, March 7 at Urban Outfitters Inc. The evening was an upscale-tailgate theme, with members of the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, Swoop, and the Eagles Pep Band joining to commemorate the year-long partnership.
The 2020 Party in the Yard was the largest in the organization’s history, selling out with 620 guests and raising $337,000 to support families in the region who are caring for medically fragile children.
“We are truly blown away by the generosity we witnessed at this year’s event,” said Christine DiBona Lobley, Executive Director of Fred’s Footsteps. “Party in the Yard was an amazing opportunity to celebrate our season-long partnership with the Eagles, a partnership that has brought significant attention to work and has been enormously beneficial to the organization; but the event also allowed us to recognize all of our incredible partners, from sponsors, to individual donors, board members, volunteers, and most incredibly, the families that we work with every day.”

Since 2005, Fred’s Footsteps has provided $6 million in support to nearly 1,000 families in the Philadelphia region. Through the support of their partners, the organization provides direct financial support ranging from non-medical expenses such as household bills, to one-time extraordinary expenses like medical equipment or home modifications.
