Fred’s Footsteps is thrilled to announce a $18,670 grant from the Legacy Foundation to support our work with families in the Philadelphia region who are struggling while caring for a medically complex child. The funds will be used to support three families in the Fred’s Footsteps program:

  • To subsidize the purchase of a van with modifications for transport of a 9-year-old girl with chromosomal abnormality and microcephaly
  • To purchase a Rifton Tricyle for a 5-year-old girl with developmental delays and Leigh Syndrome
  • For three months of mortgage and utility payments for a 12-year-old boy who suffered a life-changing accident

The Legacy Foundation is the charitable arm of Legacy Advisors, a company committed to helping their clients in their desire to achieve peace of mind by serving them with the highest level of integrity, ensuring that their lifetime, philanthropic, business, estate and investment affairs are in order, and helping them create a lasting legacy that embraces their value system, love of family and commitment to their community.

In their award letter to Fred’s Footsteps, the Legacy Foundation said, “We admire your commitment, dedication, and compassion to giving back to those in need, especially the families of children who are suffering from illness, health issues, life complications, and need 24/7 care and support.”
