PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 12, 2019) – Fred’s Footsteps, a nonprofit organization providing financial support to families caring for a seriously ill, injured, or disabled child, today announced their selection as one of three Eagles Care partners for the 2019 season.
Recognizing that strong non-profits build strong communities, each year the Philadelphia Eagles select three local non-profits for a yearlong partnership through their Eagles Care initiative. The three partners that the Eagles will collaborate with in 2019 include: Fred’s Footsteps (Ardmore, PA), Women Against Abuse (Philadelphia, PA) and Food Moxie (Philadelphia, PA). This season-long strategic partnership will enable these partners to leverage the Eagles attention, support and resources to increase their impact on the Philadelphia community.
“Fred’s Footsteps, much like the Eagles, is deeply committed to supporting and championing our fellow Philadelphians in times of need,” said Christine DiBona Lobley, Executive Director of Fred’s Footsteps. “We are honored to be selected as a 2019 Eagles Care partner and look forward to working closely with the organization to further the mission of Fred’s Footsteps, providing financial support to Philadelphia-area families caring for a seriously ill, injured, or disabled child.”
Since 2005, Fred’s Footsteps has provided nearly $6 million in support to more than 900 families in the Philadelphia region. Through the support of their partners, the organization provides direct financial support ranging from non-medical expenses such as household bills, to one-time extraordinary expenses like medical equipment or home modifications.

Through the partnership, Fred’s Footsteps will benefit from financial contributions, in-kind donations and player appearances at events. At the end of the season, Fred’s Footsteps will become an extension of the Eagles Care family and continue to work closely with the Eagles on community outreach events, while utilizing their newfound strengths to assist future Eagles Care partners.
