Most recently, Kate was the Associate Director for the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC), a national trade association that sets standards, conducts research, and advocates for respectful maternity care. Kate’s early work with AABC focused on implementing the Strong Start for Mothers and Newborns Initiative, a $5.35 million federal grant program serving Medicaid and CHIP recipients that successfully reduced preterm births and improved outcomes for newborns and pregnant people.
Kate earned a Master’s in Women’s and Gender Studies from Rutgers University in 2012.
Kate’s experience in the healthcare field has given her a great appreciation for the power of personalized and evidence-based care at birth and in early childhood – and it makes Kate a true asset to our team and the families we serve! Please join us in welcoming Kate to the Fred’s Footsteps family.
