Meet Blaise
Blaise, age 5, was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in early 2016. This usually boisterous little boy had a really rough time of as he endured nine months of chemotherapy along with limb replacement surgery and intensive physical therapy.
Blaise’s mom Ann, a nurse, left her job to be with Blaise during this very scary period reducing their family income dramatically while dad Andrew, a high school guidance counselor, did his best to keep the finances afloat. Fred’s Footsteps supported this Havertown family by helping cover mortgage and car payments while Blaise underwent this essential medical treatment.
Blaise’s dad told us: “Your help was instrumental in keeping us on our feet through Blaise’s treatment and recovery. Blaise is on the mend now and has started kindergarten, which is a whole other battle! We cannot thank you enough for all the help. Hopefully we’ll be able to return the favor in the future.”
