Meet the Roberts Family

Meet the Roberts family – Laurent with his parents, Victoria and Avery, of Kennett Square, PA.

Little Laurent spent unexpected and extended time in the NICU after his birth with breathing and other complex difficulties. As their parental leaves expired, Victoria needed to take unpaid time off to stay by Laurent’s side in the hospital. When this two-teacher household unexpectedly became a one-income household, the family felt the strain of their long hospital commute, rent, student loans, and regular household expenses.

Fred’s Footsteps was able to give this family just enough of the slack they needed to make it through Laurent’s medical crisis to the other side, by funding three months of their rent. Today their little family is thriving – Laurent is growing and progressing, learning new things every day!
