Welcome new Director of Development Marie Vacca, MBA CFRE

Fred’s Footsteps is thrilled to welcome Marie Vacca to the team as Director of Development.

Most recently, Marie was Chief Development Officer for Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay where she was responsible for leading the Fund Development efforts for the Council. Prior to Girl Scouts, Marie was Associate Director at Nemours Children’s Health System where she worked in fund development and community engagement for almost 15 years, where she was part of the team that built the Fund Development department from the ground floor up.

Marie started her fundraising career at Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Her vast work experience in the healthcare field has given her a great understanding of how families can struggle with the cost of caring for a seriously ill, injured, or disabled child.

Marie earned her MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Goldey-Beacom College in 2016. She maintains her CFRE credential (Certified Fund Raising Executive), which requires continuing education and proven results. She is a Board Member of Association of Fundraising Professionals Brandywine Chapter as well as Chair of their local Philanthropy Day event.
