Starting my career at the largest advertising agency in Philadelphia was a thrilling experience. I got to learn the ropes from the best in the business, as part of the team that produced award-winning campaigns for some of the Philadelphia region's biggest brands.

For me, it isn’t just one moment or experience. My favorite time of year is always at the end of each year reflecting back on how much Fred’s Footsteps has grown and all we have accomplished. The numbers are, of course, important, but they correlate to families helped and knowing we have touched so many lives is simply incredible. I also feel a great sense of gratitude for our generous supporters, volunteers, and staff that make this possible!

My favorite moments are those that allow me to help soften the edges of the human experience -- from developing technical documents (to create a better user experience), to designing a volunteer animal therapy program (to support folks nearing end-of-life), to learning customers names and ensuring their favorite items were always in-stock (to help others feel seen), I find joy in being of service.

Having worked in the child welfare field in Philadelphia since 1991, I have had a wide variety of experiences working with all kinds of families. My favorite moments were always when a child was safely reunited with their family or adopted into a permanent home after time in the foster care system. Every child deserves a safe and loving home with people who adore them, and to serve as their advocate to help make this happen was always a cause for pride and joy.
